You’ll notice a lot of changes this month because I ended up following through on something that I told you I was considering doing.
I removed all but one of my sites from Ezoic because those sites are just dead.
I’ll be attempting to resurrect them on new domains and if the traffic gets going on those new domains, then you’ll see them here again in the future.
As mentioned when I started these monthly updates, I’m publishing these income reports on the last day of each month to get fresh data your way.
Note: The sites in this report are only a portion of my portfolio and not the only sites that bring in revenue.
**And as always, I’m an affiliate marketer and this post contains affiliate links, meaning I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my link.
Site 1: Food/Drink Niche
This site was de-indexed in March.
I removed it from Ezoic since traffic is basically gone.
Site 2: Religion/Spirituality Niche
This site was de-indexed in March.
I removed it from Ezoic since traffic is basically gone.
The content is already on new domain, so this may be the first one you see again.
Site 3: Food/Drink Niche #2
This site was de-indexed in March.
I removed it from Ezoic since traffic is basically gone.
Site 4: Tech/Gaming Niche
This site was removed from Ezoic in 2023.
Site 5: Outdoors Niche
This site was hit by HCU in March.
I removed it from Ezoic since traffic is basically gone.
Site 6: Gardening Niche
This is currently the only site I have left on Ezoic. And I managed to get up 11 new posts on the site in the month.
It has been hit by either HCU or the last Core update, but it’s getting traffic from other search engines and social.
Honestly, I’m a bit surprised to see both the EPMV and pageviews are slightly down for this site.
The reason that I’m surprised is that the Facebook and Pinterest traffic to the site seems to be growing.
And this EPMV is STILL killing me for this niche. But hey, nothing I can do about that except focus on growing that traffic.
Reminder, I’m using Post Planner for scheduling social media stuff.
The Facebook page is up to 8,300 Likes and I’m still getting those likes for around $0.04 each.
For Pinterest, everything is looking good and I expect to be hitting several thousand pageviews a month in the coming months.
Though, since I’ve never been in this niche before, I’m not sure how seasonality will come into play here.
Since I’m working on so many things at once, I let the scheduled pins lapse again.
Considering that, I feel pretty good about the growth rate of outbound clicks here.
Here’s a look at some of the non-search engine site traffic in Clicky for the month –
And here’s a look at the EPMV by traffic source:
Wild that DuckDuckGo is the top traffic driver, eh?
So, here’s the raw revenue stats:
- Ezoic: $47.44 (down ~$10)
- Amazon: $5.38 (down ~$22)
So, it’s not just EPMV and traffic that’s down. It’s everything.
The affiliate content is using high converting Lasso product boxes.
And I used Scalenut (use code FOREVER20 to save 20% after the free trial!) to optimize these articles. You can also use something like Frase for this.
Do note that we have one additional day left in the month, so these numbers are almost complete.
Plus, Ezoic balances are not finalized for ending month until the 4th of the following month. Just an FYI.
Looking Ahead
Still focused on creating social-first content for this site to boost the Facebook and Pinterest traffic to the site.
I will continue my Facebook ad for “likes” until I reach 10,000 likes on the site’s page – reached the halfway point this month!
Still planning on trying to ramp up my pinning for Pinterest as it seems to be doing pretty good right now.
If you want more details on how I use Ezoic’s Big Data Analytics to form my content strategies, check out this three-part case study.

Hey, I’m Shawna. I make a living working from my laptop in places like London, Sydney, Dubai, Rome, Oslo, Bangkok, Las Vegas, Barcelona, and Amsterdam. I share how I do some of that on this website.
Hello there. I also have a gardening blog, well which is more homesteading lifestyle and self-sufficiency as well. I also monetize with Ezoic. This past month for July, I received $97, up from $36 in June. Then the August Google update happened and I will be receiving $87 for August. My domain was created in 2021 and my content was deleted and recreated in Feb 2023, so I am still fairly new on my content remake. Previously, I had no clue what I was doing and I allowed my hosting to expire and wipe out my content, so I learned my lesson the hard way. I only had 30 posts at the time. I currently now have 340 posts up on this blog. I like reading other people’s blog income reports so thanks for sharing.
