Isn’t it weird how you can do almost nothing on sites and still earn a few coins each month?
That’s really what these income reports should be called.
But seriously, I did a bit more this time around and I’m gearing up for bigger things for these sites.
Anyways, let’s get ready to dig into these.
As mentioned when I started these monthly updates, I’m publishing these income reports on the last day of each month to get fresh data your way.
Plus, it helps keep me accountable to you…because we all know that I will procrastinate on getting these written up.
Also, I want to remind you that these Ezoic sites of mine are smaller sites, which means these monthly updates should be easier for new site builders to follow along with (as well as those of you who are building sites with limited time).
With these being my lower earning sites, they never really get the priority that they deserve. (understatement of the century)
But still, small amounts of work compound over time.
Note: The sites in this report are only a portion of my portfolio and not the only sites that bring in revenue.
**And as always, I’m an affiliate marketer and this post contains affiliate links, meaning I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my link.
Site 1: Food/Drink Niche
This site has a few new shiny blog posts for the month.
Coincidentally, traffic has started climbing back up for this one a few days ago – though I don’t really think it was the new content.
It’s also more than just the Polish referral spam.
Likely just the SERPs rumblings that people were noticing.

But hey, I’ll take it!
Just a bit of Poland referral spam hitting the site, too.
Here’s a look at the EPMV and pageviews tracked in Ezoic.
That’s around 300 visits down, but there’s fewer days in this month so I think it’s all relative.
What’s not cool though is the EPMV drop.
As a refresh for ya, this site is a mix of affiliate and info content, with high converting Lasso product boxes on the affiliate posts.
And quick reminder, I enabled Humix on this site early in 2023 but didn’t upload any videos – instead I’m only earning from other people’s videos that show up on my site.
Here’s how much this site earned via Humix for the month –
That’s a drop in revenue and plays with Humix.
Also, the weirdness from last month continues.
I still have never uploaded any videos for this site, so there would be zero plays listed under “My Videos” since I don’t have any.
And here’s the deets for other people’s videos running on my site –
Guess that’s $1.52 that I wouldn’t otherwise have, eh?
Anyways, here’s what the overall income for the last 30 days looks like for this site in Big Data Analytics:
Not exactly normal to have an EPMV drop in February, so that’s a bit of an odd development.
- Ezoic: $14.45
- Amazon: $16.46
Earnings are tragic, like that EPMV drop. But at least the traffic is rising up (not counting the referral spam).
The affiliate content on this site is using high converting Lasso product boxes…which are great when you have more traffic than this.
And I’ve been using Scalenut (use code FOREVER20 to save 20% after the free trial!) to optimize these articles. You can also use something like Frase for this.
Do note that we have one additional day left in the month, so these numbers are almost complete.
Plus, Ezoic balances are not finalized for ending month until the 4th of the following month. Just an FYI.
Site 2: Religion/Spirituality Niche
Managed to get up 15 new posts for this site. Essentially it was just editing them and adding images as I’d run them in Koala a few months back and not yet edited them.
This site seems to have a small drop of around 10 visits daily according to Ezoic.
Unlike the first site, there is an EPMV increase here (as expected).
In terms of that traffic drop, GA4 is showing almost a 12% drop in pageviews.
And note that this site has no referral spam traffic from Poland.
I also still (…yes, still) didn’t get around to making any new videos for this site’s YouTube channel or Humix.
Let’s face it, this is likely never going to be a priority for me. At least not anytime soon.
Here’s how much this site earned from Humix with the two videos that I uploaded early in 2023 –
Well, well. This increase looks nice.
Maybe I should prioritize more videos here. Especially since most of this revenue came from these playing on other people’s sites.
Not sure why third-party videos dried up this month. Just more oddities with Humix, I guess.
Here’s what the income for the last 30 days looks like for this site:
Now this is where I admit that I am terribly confused by Ezoic reporting. If this site made $7.18 from Humix and this Big Data Analytics report shows that total revenue is $7.51…then why does the first earning screenshot show $10.82?!
I am at a loss here.
- Ezoic: $7.51? or $10.82?
- Amazon: $0.00
And yeah, I still haven’t gotten any affiliate content up on this site cause it’s just a tricky one with things to promote.
And I used Scalenut (use code FOREVER20 to save 20% after the free trial!) to optimize these articles. You can also use something like Frase for this.
Do note that we have one additional day left in the month, so these numbers are almost complete.
Plus, Ezoic balances are not finalized for ending month until the 4th of the following month. Just an FYI.
Site 3: Food/Drink Niche #2
I think I’ve mentioned it before, but I’ve been really discouraged by this site getting hit because I was buying stuff and taking real photos.
I put a LOT of effort into this content just for it to get hit.
Anyways, got a few new posts up and looking at Ezoic it seems that traffic is pretty much the same with 37 average daily visits.
Also note the small EPMV drop for this site.
Again, this isn’t normal for display ads.
And another month of referral spam fucking up my analytics report for this site.
Here’s what the income for the last 30 days looks like for this site:
- Ezoic: $6.43
- Amazon: $0.72
Another revenue drop, and it’s a big one this time when you consider affiliate monies. I assume my affiliate content lost some rankings.
The affiliate content is using high converting Lasso product boxes.
Site 4: Tech/Gaming Niche
This site is no longer on Ezoic.
Site 5: Outdoors Niche
Managed to get up a couple of posts on this site. I’m considering removing some of the content to niche down on just one of the many outdoors sub-niches that it covers.
Haven’t decided for sure on that yet though.
Looking that this screenshot, there seems to be a tiny EPMV drop and a small increase in daily visits to the site.
Google Analytics traffic is a nightmare.
So much referral spam traffic from Poland.
Anyways, still not tackled links for this site. Cause I’m lazy.
That’s the only reason.
Here’s what the income for the last 30 days looks like for this site:
- Ezoic: $5.67
- Amazon: $0.84
Some good news, overall earnings are up a teensy bit.
The affiliate content on this site is using high converting Lasso product boxes.
Site 6: Gardening Niche
Another one of my biggest disappointments as I was so close last year to having this as an add-on site for Raptive.
I don’t remember if it was HCU or a Core Update that hit it, but I really need to give it some TLC since gardening is about to start trending soon.
The Growth Cupid Pinterest team will be working on this site soon (save 10% with code SKIPBLAST).
Based on this screenshot, daily visits have almost doubled since last month – HOORAY!
I only got two new posts up on the site (informational).
My Google Analytics is borked for this site as well.
But the referral spam wasn’t as bad on this site – only 323 visits from Poland for the month.
So traffic is actually up organically.
Let’s hope that it is a trend that continues.
Here’s what the income for the last 30 days looks like for this site:
- Ezoic: $25.23
- Amazon: $9.62
That’s a good EPMV increase of almost $3.00 compared to last month, which essentially doubled the revenue when you combine that with the traffic increase.
Also saw a decent increase in affiliate monies.
The affiliate content is using high converting Lasso product boxes.
Looking Ahead
In addition to keeping up with fresh content, I think I really need to take the time to do to these sites what I do with my bigger sites – focus on growing social traffic.
Most of these niches are perfect for both Pinterest and Facebook.
The good news is that I can put the Growth Cupid team (save 10% with code SKIPBLAST) on the Pinterest strategy….but not until they have time.
The bad news is that I think I should do the Facebook stuff on my own.
Once I get all that going, I need to do YouTube for a few sites.
But, like I mentioned in my getting started with alternative traffic streams post – I gotta focus on one at a time.
I know that I’ve said that in the past, but I really need to get serious with it here, even though these are some of the lowest earning sites in my portfolio.
And just a reminder, I’m still planning on some upcoming videos on my YouTube channel about these sites. Subscribe here if you want to see ’em when I finally upload them.
