Ezoic Earnings: December 2023 Niche Site Income Report

Here we are at the end of the year, which means high Q4 EPMVs.

So, let’s get ready to see what these small sites did for the month.

As mentioned when I started these monthly updates, I’m publishing these income reports on the last day of each month to get fresh data your way.

Plus, it helps keep me accountable to you…because we all know that I will procrastinate on getting these written up.

Also, I want to remind you that these Ezoic sites of mine are smaller sites, which means these monthly updates should be easier for new site builders to follow along with (as well as those of you who are building sites with limited time).

With these being my lower earning sites, they never really get the priority that they deserve. (understatement of the century)

But still, small amounts of work compound over time.

Site 1: Food/Drink Niche

Though I managed to get new content up on this site last update, there were zero new posts published on the site for December.

Traffic started out pretty good at the beginning of the month, but as you can see above, things went south around mid-month.

Hopefully that’s just the holidays.

EMPV went up by around $3.00, which is nice to see.

But I do dread the drop that will happen in January.

And quick reminder, I enabled Humix on this site earlier in the year but didn’t upload any videos – instead I’m only earning from other people’s videos that show up on my site.

Here’s how much this site earned via Humix for the month –

Looks like a similar number of views, and slightly more revenue from the vids – likely due to a EPMV boost for December.

And here’s what the overall income for the last 30 days looks like for this site in Big Data Analytics:

• Ezoic: $41.33
• Amazon: $92.16

So, that looks like a teensy bit less Ezoic ad money this month, but quite a bit more from Amazon thanks to the holidays.

Site 2: Religion/Spirituality Niche

I did not get any new posts up on this site for December, but it still seems to be running along okay enough, all things considered.

That crazy spike in the middle there is a one-day anomaly in the amount earned from Mediation.

Here’s a closer look at that spike –

So, while that’s cool, it also means that this single day makes up most of the month’s earnings.

And, the site is clearly having a bit of a traffic slump.

Also, the EPMV went up almost $10, but that’s because of this one day of high mediation earnings.

I also still (…yes, still) didn’t get around to making any new videos for this site’s YouTube channel or Humix.

Here’s how much this site earned from Humix with the two videos that I uploaded a earlier in the year –

What’s interesting here is that views are only slightly down, but the revenue more than doubled.

No idea why that happened, unless the big spike day also caused this?

And here’s the breakdown by type of play –

Interesting to see that the third-party revenue increased by almost 4x here.

I still wonder though if this is all due to the Universal Player video ads.

• Amazon: $0.00

Pretty good increase from the previous month here for the ads revenue.

You already know – I still haven’t gotten any affiliate content up on this site cause it’s just a tricky one with things to promote.

Site 3: Food/Drink Niche #2

Unlike the other sites above, I did manage to get four new posts live on this site.

And the freshness factor seems to have helped the site a bit in the SERPs with a couple of posts ranking.

But, overall it’s another traffic drop here.

Unfortunately, there was a bit of an EPMV drop here, which is odd for December.

Here’s what the income for the last 30 days looks like for this site:

• Ezoic: $10.61
• Amazon: $39.19

So, that’s a drop in both ad revenue and Amazon revenue.

This site is no longer on Ezoic.

Site 5: Outdoors Niche

Even though I got a couple of new posts live, the carnage in the SERPs seems to have not ended yet.

And, this site also saw a teensy EPMV boost of $0.05.

Here’s what the income for the last 30 days looks like for this site:

• Ezoic: $5.18
• Amazon: $2.08

That’s a drop in both ad revenue and Amazon….plus the traffic.

Site 6: Gardening Niche

This is the only site that didn’t get any new content.

With this site, we have both a drop in traffic and a drop in EPMV.

Clearly, this site is not well-liked by Google right now.

However, this niche is great for Pinterest…I just need to get the Growth Cupid Pinterest team on it.

Here’s what the income for the last 30 days looks like for this site:

• Ezoic: $14.83
• Amazon: $7.07

So, that’s a drop in all types of revenue for the month.

Looking Ahead

It’s apparent that I have a lot of work to do on these sites – especially the ones that have been hit by algo updates.

As mentioned before, I already know that most (all?) of these sites need work on backlinks as well as social media.

When things slow down a bit for them, I’ll have the Growth Cupid team get started on building high DR backlinks for these sites + some Pinterest. (save 10% with code SKIPBLAST)

Of course, I also need to get back on the content creation.

Now that the holidays are behind us, I should have more time to get back to working on these sites.
