Ezoic Earnings: August 2024 Niche Site Income Report

Another month in the books for the one site that I currently have on Ezoic.

With the site being in a niche that is no longer in the high season, the expectations are lower income thanks to lower traffic.

As mentioned when I started these monthly updates, I’m publishing these income reports on the last day of each month to get fresh data your way.

Note: The sites in this report are only a portion of my portfolio and not the only sites that bring in revenue.

**And as always, I’m an affiliate marketer and this post contains affiliate links, meaning I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my link.

Site 1: Food/Drink Niche

This site was de-indexed in March.

I removed it from Ezoic since traffic is basically gone.

Site 2: Religion/Spirituality Niche

This site was de-indexed in March.

I removed it from Ezoic since traffic is basically gone.

The content is already on new domain, so this may be the first one you see again.

Site 3: Food/Drink Niche #2

This site was de-indexed in March.

I removed it from Ezoic since traffic is basically gone.

Site 4: Tech/Gaming Niche

This site was removed from Ezoic in 2023.

Site 5: Outdoors Niche

This site was hit by HCU in March.

I removed it from Ezoic since traffic is basically gone.

Site 6: Gardening Niche

With this being a niche that isn’t really in a high trending season, I spent a lot of time brainstorming what kind of content I can create that does well in the off season.

I came up with a few ideas, but didn’t implement any of them just yet.

So, zero new posts for this site.

As you can see in the image above, there is a drop in everything – traffic, EPMV, and earnings.

Not too surprising since people aren’t really starting much gardening this time of year.

And I am seeing zero recovery from this Core Update that’s rolling out. This site still not getting much traffic from Google.

Mostly social, then other search engines.

The Facebook page for this site got kicked outta the Bonus Program as I was doing a JV thing and letting someone else take over the posting to the page.

That got the page kicked out of the program.

Live and learn, eh?

So, now I gotta get back to using Post Planner for scheduling social media stuff for this site.

I’ve also not done any new pinning for the site for Pinterest.

pinterest performance august

Since I have run ads in my Pinterest account, they’ve changed how my stats look and this is the only screenshot I can get that compares all the important stats for last 30 days.

So, here’s the raw revenue stats:

  • Ezoic: $29.17 (almost half of last month’s earnings)
  • Amazon: $0.00

So, it’s not just EPMV and traffic that’s down. It’s everything.

The affiliate content is using high converting Lasso product boxes.

And I used Scalenut (use code FOREVER20 to save 20% after the free trial!) to optimize these articles. You can also use something like Frase for this.

Do note that we have one additional day left in the month, so these numbers are almost complete.

Plus, Ezoic balances are not finalized for ending month until the 4th of the following month. Just an FYI.

Looking Ahead

Based on this month’s traffic stats, I think the drop in gardening interest is steeper than I expected.

So, I really need to take one of my new content topic clusters and get to work on it.

I’ll still be focused on creating social-first content for this site based on what will perform well on Pinterest.

  1. Good to know that these sites are only a portion of your portfolio.
Experienced similar with Ezoic. Where I generated a dollar a day, I now only make up to 10 cent. Visitor count is similar compared to past months.
Hope to get more traffic in Q4 which not only ups ad revenue, but also affiliate sales.
I still think that there will be a time, when G thinks my content is helpful 🙂

    • Yeah, I’ve got bigger sites that are actually seeing some growth in recent weeks – but a long way to go for HCU recovery.
