You know one thing that I really hate about this business?
Link building.
Seriously – it takes a lot of time, and often a lot of money, just so that the people you paid for links can just up and remove the link when they feel like it.
That’s why I love using awesome aged domains with high DR backlinks that you know won’t get removed by some unscrupulous site owner.
I source these premium domains from Odys, and you should, too – seriously.
And I’m about to tell you why.
What Is Odys Global?
Odys Global is basically a marketplace for premium aged domains that are available for you to buy with a free logo included.
These domains are free of pesky trademark issues, which means you can buy one and then start building a site on it with no worries.
What this means is that they spend their time finding and securing these domains, so that you and I don’t have to waste our time scouting for them.
Then, they list them in their marketplace, which is super user-friendly, and you can search through them to find a site that fits your niche (or the niche you wanna go into).
This link gets you a cool $100 credit in your Odys account.
They literally cannot make it any easier on you.
That’s why I love using them as my source for premium aged domains, because I don’t have the time to spend tracking down domains on my own.
Why Use Odys Global
As mentioned above, I think the main benefit of using Odys to source your aged domains is that it is a huge fucking time saver.
I used to have a PBN network of over 200 domains, and finding all of those premium aged domains for it took for-fucking-ever.
I can’t tell you how many hours I lost vetting domains at GoDaddy Auctions and Namejet just to lose out to someone else. So, I lost that time and the domain.
With Odys, I just check their marketplace to see if anything meets my needs and that’s it.
In fact, before launching my Project Tartarus case study on an Odys domain, I spent a few months watching their marketplace just waiting for the perfect domain for the niche I wanted to enter.
Time spent doing this: minimal
I also like that Odys creates a logo for you to use with the new site you’re gonna create.
Just another time saver right there.
Why Use An Aged Domain
In case my opinion isn’t clear above, using an aged domain is a huge fucking time saver!
- No need to build links
- No waiting to get out of the sandbox
- No wondering when those first rankings will finally appear
The end result is that you end up ranking quicker, which means you can scale up faster and really shorten that timeline from site creation to site flipping (assuming that’s your goal).
And since you’re not wasting time and money on creating backlinks, you end up with more money to invest in content for the site.
It’s really a win-win situation.
That’s why I created an entire course on it – Aged Domains: Your Fast Pass To Rankings & Revenue
I’m not gonna bullshit you though, there are some possible disadvantages that you should know about –
- branding may be more difficult for you
- the cost can run into five figures for a single domain
Sometimes you find a really great premium aged domain that is terrible for branding.
When that happens you have two choices-
- Stick with putting a site on it anyways
- Eventually 301 the site/domain to a fresh domain with better branding
When you buy a fresh domain, that is less than $10 to get started – the same is not true for premium aged domains.
You should expect to spend anywhere between a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars on one of these domains, which I realize is not feasible for everyone.
But if you can afford it, then I think you will find that it is such a time saver that it is 100% worth the expense.
Final Thoughts
One thing that I think I should point out is that buying of these domains doesn’t mean that you’re magically going to become a better site builder and start doing six-figure flips.
One of these domains is the strongest foundation that you can build on, but you still need quality building materials to finish it up.
So, don’t blast it with shitty content and then wonder why it’s not taking off like you expected.
Use it to build a real site.
Look at my Project Tartarus site where I’m building it out kinda slowly and it’s gonna be at around $1,000/month by the end of this year.
I could have done a fast and furious site build and seen more income by now, or I could have taken the shitty content approach and been far worse off than I am now.
And one final thing…
Don’t blame me if you get addicted to checking the marketplace and buying up awesome aged domains.
This link gets you a cool $100 credit in your Odys account.
It’s free to sign up and see what’s on the marketplace, so what are you waiting for?
